By leading sire Smart Strike, sire of Horse of the Year Curlin, champion turf horse English Channel, and current KY Derby favorite Looking at Lucky, Papa Clem is an exciting addition to the California Stallion roster.He defeated 3yr old champion Summer Bird in the Arkansas Derby and was a very troubled 4th in the Kentucky Derby. His female family speaks of three generations of top Graded stakes horses and the Hirsch family breeding program. His dam, Miss Houdini, was a Grade 1 winner in her 2nd start, the Del Mar Debutant.
